Plane ticket to US ? Which travel agent?

Hello!

Looking for suggestions on travel agents I could use to buy my fiance's plane ticket to come to the US. Would like the option of being able to reschedule (for a fee of coarse).

I have spoke to ASAPtickets and they do not offer rescheduling.

Do you know who does? Any recommendations? Thanks!

They do but there is a fee involved. I extended my stay one time and i think i paid like 150 or something like that. I paid 1300 for Monreal's flight here. Round trip tickets were about the same.

I bought mine thru St. Raphael Travel & Tours. They had a great fare for 1st time immigrants. Not sure though if they charge for rescheduling. You can have your finace call/YM them St. Raphael Travel

Negative, a K-1 visa holder do not fall under the 1st time immigrant umbrella. However, there are unpublished cheap fares available. Check with your TA or the airline(s) directly - they are not available on the search engine sites.

One of the main thing to consider when buying the ticket is to try make your POE your home base. If not give yourself enough time to make a connection or choose an airport that have multiple connect to your home city.

A guy who works in the same building as me just came back with his wife. There was a disruptive issue at the airport with a passenger and that delayed a lot of people. It took 4 hours for his wife to get through immigration - there was 1 person before her waiting to be interviewed & more after her (imagine those after her would be there longer). They miss their connecting flight but luckily he was there with her and he being an elite flyer manage to have the airline put them on a partner airline to continue their journey.

That have more to do with what class of ticket you buy.

If you look at any of your old ticket/boarding pass, there is a letter (or two) in caps - that is your class of ticket.

The cheaper the ticket the more restriction it would have.

Most airlines have 5-7 different type of economy/coach fares - from Supersaver to Flex(ible).

The Flex (most expensive) have the least restrictions - no rebooking fee, no cancellation fee, no minimum stay, maximum stay is usually a year & you can pre-book your seat. The Supersaver (cheapest) would have the most restrictions - higher rebooking fee, cancellation fee, etc, etc,.
