I am sure the answer to my question is somewhere in this forum but my eyes started to burn from staring at the screen so long searching for it and my head started to hurt from all the acronyms being used. I was wondering what happens after I receive the NOA2? The US Embassy we will be dealing with is located in Manila, Philippines. Does the Embassy send a package to my fiance when they receive the approval from my Vermont service center? This amount of paperwork is insane but my asawa is worth it. It's crazy the how and where you will meet that special person that you see yourself spending the rest of your life with. It was for me anyway.

Also, on a side note I am a bit leery of the amount of money i make and if they will deny us for that reason. I make over the poverty limit for 4 people since we both have children. I don't have much in my account because I have been sending money to my fiance and I have traveled to the Philippines four times this year. I made under the poverty limit in 2008 due to losing my job and being out of work for a couple months during the crappy economy. Does anyone think that would be a problem. I also moved in with my mom because she recently got a divorce and needed help with things around the house and the bills. I basically just help out with bills when needed and don't have a set rent. Does anyone think that would raise a flag in the interview? I intend on going to the interview with my fiance whenever we get it all worked out and set a date. Hopefully i can only stay a week after the interview and she can get her visa and we can fly back together. Well I hope someone on here can give a little advice or help with answering some of these questions.

Much Appreciated,

Justin

USEM manila doesnt send your fiance the packet. Barely even send an email in time. I receive my eligibilty letter when im already here in the US. Mostly what happens is, once your NOA2 is approve, give it few days then call NVC to request your manila case number and find out if your packet is already forward to USEM. Once you have your manila case number, your fiance can go ahead and do her medical, pay her visa and sched her interview online.

With regards to your income, current income is more important than the past years even if they require to see 3year ITR copy. So if your above poverty level for the current year, thats what matters the most. you may have to add a copy of your employment cert to prove and convince them your still very employed and making a good amount to support your family, current pay stubs will also help and if you have doubt you can also prepare a co sponsor. they always say they dont accept it but at some circumstances they actually do. As long as all your docs are ready youre most likely get approved-goodluckgood.gif

 agrees with the above post, just a heads up while its nice to travel with Fiancee back to the states, becareful about only giving yourself a week. It can, and has taken, much longer than one week for some to obtain their visas after passing their interview, so you might want to be careful about that.

She will received it by email and theres an instruction on where she needs to follow, read and download forms that she will need to fill out for her interview. and on your side you will received a letter from NVC that they will forward the approval to US embassy Manila. she can ready now her documents such as original birth certificate, cenomar, police certificate, nbi clearance, she will need documents from you too and its all listed on that email for her to follow, once she received the email she can go to St lukes for her medical and she needs to print that stuff to bring with her, and bring cash to pay for it. plus money for visa fee. i dont think you will have an issue on this red flag, if you are not sure on meeting a poverty guidelines just go ahead and find a good friend or relatives that could help for affidavit of support. a week to stay with your fiance on her interview might be good for you but you never know what will happen on her interview day, she might get her visa in a week or she will have a delayed visa issue depends on how her interview will be like. hope it helps.
