Well we contacted DOS today and they actually gave me last update as of Feb 7th... we had several updates (only one was email update the others were only for the case) the last few days of Dec and this is the next update .. I asked specifically if this has anything to do with replies to my email and she said no this is not an update for an email reply its update for the case itself.

Soooo... at least we know they are working on our case.... but the heartbreak is still here.. i used to be such a strong woman.. such a strong mother and wife.. now im fragile like a china doll

I think in december another SAO request was sent to Washington DC. The embassy stopped working on the case as they were waiting for response from Washington. Response must have arrived in February and its been worked on now. I am sure they are now just wrapping up on your case or doing the final review. You will hear good news soon Inshallah.

Inshallah... but i guess we've been stuck so long that I'm just not sure of anything anymore...

Don't worry my mood will be back up soon.. i guess sometimes even I need to whine and complain some.. lol..

OK.. off my pity party now..

Guys we have to take this back.. this AP WILL NOT become a part of our lives forever! I know this is difficult and the worse feeling in the world but we can't let it affect our lives completely or our relationships... Adil and I do discuss this some but we make a huge effort not to let it become all we talk about. We still have fun we still talk about life, love, children, lol the girls schooling, my work, his work, we talk about places we want to go, things we want to do and make plans for the future.

Last night he even sang songs while i cleaned the dishes.. make your lives as normal as you can for the moment we are in for Inshallah it is but a moment.. years down the road we will look back and see the time it took to get them here and say that while it seemed a long time it is but a blink of an eye because as you know.. when your having a wonderful time, time does fly.. when your not it won't.. so once they are here in the blink of an eye we will have our grand children surrounding us wondering where the time went...

Inshallah this too will pass..

My husband got this email from the embassy but i don't know what does it mean by that if someone can help me out and tell what does they need from him.

It means they are checking into his background , a lot of times they check out whats going on with the family too...but im sure it will be fine and all this wil be over soon! Just get it to them asap so you can move forward!

im confused about it do i need to tell them for ever single person what kind of job there were doing around that time or are they just asking about his job and mine.do i have to give them my information too or only about my husband family information they need. what if one of the family member who is married do i need to tell them they are married and also tell about there spouse too and if they have any children also tell them about the children too.

im thinking about trying to give a call to the embassy...does anyone know the number? One of my cousins who went through this AP process last year told me the embassy is more up to date about the visa issuance than DOS is...I think i'll try calling the embassy and if i don't get a response I'll send an email..If you guys have any other suggestions do let me know!

I think you will find Islamabad Embassy not responsive when you call or email them. Once any update is made by the embassy, the data is accessible by DOS, so it's best to contact DOS, as they know immediately when petitions are approved, RFE or any decision by Islamabad. For my own experience, I called DOS practically each day, and DOS informed me her K1 was approved first. Then, my fiancee in Pakistan found out, via email.

There is a place for your email address... but idk if this will do any good i sent an email last week and when they respond they usually do within 1 or 2 days but i never got a response this time
