Hey everyone... i was curious, today i called the national visa center to find a time frame for out petition being sent out to manila.. the lady said our case was in "ADDITIONAL PROCESSING" but she wasnt sure what this meant since she said she had never seen a case labeled with that.. well my first thought was maybe she hadnt worked there long.. till she added she had been there 12 years.. so my question is... should i worry about something? is this related to the fact i have been married to a filipina before? is it possible that they found a mistake made by Vermont service center? the lady swore this was nothing to worry about, and added that there was no time frame for this "additional processing" ..... any help is welcome , thanks ..

There never has been a time line for additional processing unfortunately. It could mean anything no way to really tell what it means. For eg: It could mean its in extra back ground checks, it could mean its waiting to be processed by the mail room to be mailed out, it could mean they have to do re-checks on names in the packet, it could mean they have to go over some of the documents that were included to make sure they are valid documents.
