Can i already apply for Citizenship?

I have a question. i have entered the US in January 2009 so in January 2012 i could apply for citizenship cause i have been here for 3 years and legally married. Now to my question. I did 4 trips back to see my family. I filled out the N-400 i am just not sure if i have been out of the US too long.

Here are the dates i left the US

October 2009 19 days

April till June 2010 42 days

November 2010 till January 2011 70 days

october 2011 till november 2011 45 days

I have to say my husband is in the military and the long times i left he was deployed. I never gave up my residency. i just dont know if i have to add the time that i was out of the country for when i can apply for citizenship.

Any advice is really appreciated.

You are fine. You can apply actually 90 days prior to your third year residency anniversary, which means you are eligible now (in fact, you've been eligible for several weeks).

They will base your eligibility to file N-400 to your green card date of issuance and not the date you entered the US. About the number of days of your vacation, don't know about it....hope another vj member will fill in about it.

You can, assuming you entered the country as a permanent resident (on a CR-1 or IR-1). If you entered and then adjusted status, you're looking at 3 years from when your adjustment was approved. The 3 years runs from the date on your green card.

Your time out of the country shouldn't be an issue. I am honestly not sure if the amount of time out of the country that is an issue (180 days) is cumulative or all at once, but you only have 176 days anyway so it won't matter either way.
