I got a 221g for damaged passport (washed - doh!) - does anyone know roughly how long is normal for courier to collect and then return the passport with visa in? Tomorrow I'm going to book a delivery time hopefully for sometime this week.

Or is it possible to go in and drop it off in person?

You're going to book a collection, not delivery. Do you still have that DX link I gave you a few days ago? They should be able to come an collect your passport the next day after you notify them to come get it. It's up to London to get around to doing your visa and then hand it over to DX to take back to you.

London will not accept hand delivery. DX is their trusted contracted courier. It's about security. You might be handing in a passport bomb.

Rang DX this morning and they booked me in for a collection tomorrow. It feels like it's all coming together nicely. Also, my passport is currently being built and I can collect it at 3pm. I just need to remember to bring it to work tomorrow and not fall in the canal on the way!!

We just had to send in more financial info for our joint sponsor so just went through the whole courier experience. We got everything collected on Tuesday of this past week and the courier delivered my husband's passport with visa stamp today! It didn't even take a week! I hope it goes as quickly for you!

04/27/2011~ NOA1 received!

07/21/2011~ NOA2 email and text! 85 days!

07/25/2011~ NOA2 hard copy received!

NVC:

08/01/2011~ NVC received petition

08/29/2011~ Received case number and IIN

09/02/2011~ I-864 AOS bill received and paid

09/02/2011~ DS3032 sent by email

09/05/2011~ DS3032 accepted

09/07/2011~ I-864 status PAID
