LAGOS INTERVIEW DATE

Hi,

My fiance's k-1 was approved on October 25th.When I called the NVS i was told that the package was mailed out to Lagos on November 9th.

Today I called the state department and they told me that an interview has not been schedule, she also told me that before an interview will scheduled that she will have to receive the form 156 and send in the form before an interview will be scheduled. is that true?

please can someone guide me to the proper procedure (Lagos)

have u tried emailing the US embassy in Lagos? check dat embassy review page for Nigeria here on VJ. Email wit ur info and request interview date. u've waited a mnth already.

u probably spoke to someone at NVC dat wanted to brush you off.. usually from what ive read, NVC gives better info.. so maybe try call again..

I have emailed the lagos consulate about 10 days ago no reply yet

I just dont want to be late in sending stuff to lagos required for the interview

i will email them again

email takes a little over 10 days for a reply from lagos.. it will come soon

assume 3mnths from date lagos received as possible interview date if u want to prepare documents to send.. but yah, email them again

and those forms like D156 and support has to be taken in on interview day and not prior..

maybe try callin NVC next week as well.

You dont neef form 156 to scheldule interview. Lagos will take 2 _3 weeks before they respond to your email with interview date and package ad attachment. I will send them another e mail in about a week

Unless things have changed in the last few months lagos embassy usualy responded to my emails(niv QUERY for a family member and IV inquiry for a friend here) within days.

First make sure you direct to the right department (NIV or IV)

second in the suject line, include your NVC case number..LGSxxxxxxxx

Then proceed with ur email..

if u do it tonight and dont get a reply by end of business day tomorro( are they still closed fridays?) ...you will get some feedback by monday end of business day.

U.S embassy Lagos responded to my email enquiries within 3business working days and they gave me the interview date as well as telling me to schedule for medical and police character certificate.

This is known as packet 3 and 4. Lagos do not send packet 3 and 4 by courier anymore but through email attachment.

So, if response didn't come within a week, or if you did not get an auto-response within minutes of sending them an email, then there will not be any reply from them.

I stand corrected though....

You are abs correct , cos that was my experience too....auto response within seconds of eamil and then reply within your time frame...NEVER more than 3days on many occasions.

I got the auto response when i sent the email, but I have not gotten a reply from them, I emailed them again last night and got the auto response. hopefully I should know something by next week
