Ok, I sent off the AOS paperwork and it arrived in Chicago on November 9. It is now the 28 and my check has still not been cashed. I know the package arrived because of the delivery confirmation. Do they not cash the check right away like they do with the I-134? Do they send a RFE if you don't submit everything that is needed or just send the whole package back? Just trying to make sure everything is moving forward. Thanks for any help.

Cashing the check is something they have no trouble doing quickly!

That is longer than normal. Normally the check shows up at your bank within a week. Are you sure you signed the forms IN THE CORRECT PLACE? (if you sign in the wrong space they reject it) Check your copy.

Are you sure the check is for the right amount? If it is for the wrong amount they will reject it. A rejection tkes up to 30 days (add for holidays) to receive. Rejections are easily corrected, just sign the correct place or make out a new check and send it back.

An RFE, if any, would come long after they cashed the check.
