Hello, I hope someone can clear my confusion.. Today, I've sent my document and passport as requested from US consulate in Montreal thru DHL. At DHL office at Markham was asking for Reference Id on their waybill. DHL rep is saying Ref ID is 7 digits but mine is 8 digits(got it after create an account in http://usvisa-info.com). I never got reference id, all I have is WAC# and NVC#.. I have called Montreal Office(they said my ref id is 8 digits and they have no idea which 7 digits ref id DHL is asking?), then called USCIS, they only know about WAC# and NVC#... Any idea how to get reference Id?

I do not see any updates on DHL(loomis express) about my package..

Thank you in advance.

I used my MTL number, but apparently that's the wrong one to use. Mine still processed without any hiccups. I think they one they want is when you log in to the CSC website. It comes up at the top when you select "my Account" then it will show Reference ID: 913****. That's the 7 digit number you need, I believe.

Thank you for your response. After I log in to CSC site, it shows 8 digit reference ID: 11xxxxxx. No clue..

I've registered my wife for DHL and once I log in, it shows her 8-digit reference ID starting with 11******.

So, I also have no clue where did you get your 7-digit reference ID :blink: ?

I addition, you don't have to click on my account. Once you log in, the whole page "Applicant summary" pops up and contains all the info, including your reference ID on upper right corner.

It's not a DHL number, it's a number Montreal has given you to reference your file. Mine happens to be 7 digits as they're asking for maybe they've gone to 8 recently. I can't answer that. Regardless, here's a screen shot of my reference ID and what I'm talking about

Hm-m, but I have exactly the same screen as you provided :wacko:. Only with 8 digits, but, never mind.

It very well could be they ran out of 7 digit numbers to assign and DHL isn't up to date on that! If it's from the same screen then I'm sure the 8 digit number is exactly what you need.

I've gotten everything the same except the box "MRV Fee Receipt", which, probably, doesn't apply to my wife's case - she is IR1 applicant.

I don't recall ever seeing an update on the website, to be honest. I called the DOS for updates, mainly to see if packet 4 had been sent out. I waited a week after I sent packet 3, called DOS, they said no packet 4 had not been sent. I called a week later, they still said it hadn't been sent out but it arrived by mail that same day.

DOS = department of state.

DHL does not use return envelopes, you do not send return envelopes, and you do not bring any to the interview, they did away with this quite a while ago. You sign up for the DHL location you will pick up from and you just pick it up from them. No more postal or mailer packets involved on your end save for signing up to DHL.
