A few people asked me how Hadrien's medical went in Paris so here is an account of what happened (please excuse my frenglish):

As soon as we got the interview date, Hadrien scheduled a medical visit with Dr. Francis Slattery in the 16e. This doctor has everything needed for the exam in one office such as the x-ray, the means to get quick test results, etc... so you don't have to wait a couple of days for results.

According to the receptionist, you can schedule your apoointment up to the day BEFORE your interview.

That said, the medical visits are schedule in the morning because you have to wait for the blood results which are generally ready by the afternoon.

When Hadrien got there, he had to fill out a questionnaire about his medical history and they ask you for: your "carnet de sante,"

1 photo (FRENCH FORMAT "photo d'identite") and you passport. They verify all of the immunity shots you have gotten - you need them all done or, if you don't have them done, the doctor will do them for you that day. It will cost more of course. The ones you need for sure are coqueluche et dtpolyo, rougeole, rubella for the US.

After they look over all of your paperwork, you go in to see the Doctor for a regular check-up.

The Doctor is American, speaks French, and there were other people waiting in there who came for their visa requirement.

He was professional, didn't talk too much - just asked about where Hadrien was going in the States and what he was going to do there.

Drew his blood in the laboratory, took 2 seconds, x-rayed his lungs and told him to go back in the afternoon to get his results.

Easy breezy.

EDIT - Hadrien read what I summed up and wanted me to rectify what I had previously stated: the analysis is done at a laboratory a couple of blocks away not in the office.

I pass out when I have blood tests :crying: :crying:
