Today marks 5 months since my i29f was received by CSC. I tried calling on a few occasions and all they would tell me is that it is "under initial review" and that they have 5 months. They told me to call back if it is beyond 5 months and they will be able to answer questions as to where I am in the process. I called as soon as they opened this morning and instead of more detailed answers, they tell me the same damn thing with the exception that "5 months is only an estimate". They did tell me that the latest application they are working on was received June 16 but that really tells me nothing. From this website we can see that they do not process in order and the next application they work on could be one they received yesterday. I am so damn frustrated with CSC and its so f-ed up they can get away with putting us off like this. UGGGGHHH!!!!!!!!! ok, sorry folks, just had to vent.

Good friends of ours waited 10 months. No RFE, nothing. Just needed to wait. They are happily together and do not regret anything or have any ill feelings. You shouldn't let this affect you so.

We received our noa1 on November 15 and then received our noa2 on August 26th. We got an RFE that was not our fault after 8 months. We breezed through NVC and now we are still waiting for an interview date. It has been a difficult time because we originally thought we would get through the process in 4 to 6 months. We have found that we have to stop having expectations. We thought for sure we would get a December interview date since NVC closed 10/11 but we were devastated when we didn't. We no longer have any expectations. We just know that one day he will get an interview and that is all we know because there is no control in this matter. We have watched others from the same country breeze through in as little as 3 months, 4 months and 5 months. There is no reasoning behind any of it. This has caused us both great pain so my advice is not to expect anything at a certain time. Tell yourself that the process is going to take a year or more and that you will be happy if it takes less time.

I pray that it does take less time for you.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. The reason I am so upset is CSC stated they would not look up progress for me because it was within their allowed time frame. They told me to call if I did not get anything by 22NOV. I did just as they said only for them to still give me the runaround. That's why I'm upset.
