Hi all,

First time posting anything on here.

We are in month 5 of our approval for I-29F.

We haven't heard anything and the website keeps saying the same thing.

We did hire an immigration attorney and she assures us we should hear soon.

With the holidays approaching I am becoming very impatient.

Just looking for any positive comments and inspirational information to keep me motivated/patient.

Thanks,

Lekans Girl

Hi there!

We are on the same boat. Exactly 5 months on the 23rd!

2weeks ago, our lawyer called the USCIS and they said it's still within normal processing time of 5months.

He told us to be more patient and that it will come anytime soon.

It's so easy to get impatient and hopeless in times like this.

But for my fiance and I, we just stay positive and keep thinking that it will come in the right moment.

We just need to keep ourselves busy with other things to prepare for the big move.

Let's keep on praying that the visa comes at such time that we can still make it there for Christmas or New Year!

Thanks for saying that. Ours was the 15th...I am praying and praying hard!

Its comforting to hear someone is in the same situation. GOOD LUCK too!

Thanks again!

I think you are already positive more than we can suggest.. but hang in there.. might be this week! Is the lawyer really telling you what you don't know?

Wondering, did you get RFE? Also, do you have any areas that might be of concern or draw flags? Both of you ever in married before or such things like that? I'm sure, that might not have anything to do with the delay, but just wondering cause its been a while since I saw a 5mnths wait.. at least under the Nigerian filers.

Yes same here 5 months today, so I called and put in a service request, nice guy I spoke to " a supervisor " he said we should hear something in 15 days, But I think im more excited to be going to see my sweetie for christmas, rather than the NOA2 hehehe, but it did feel like some small progres speaking to him, of course he did mention if I dont hear from them in 15 days to call back, lol. Hoping we all see progress soon

Wow..Edward from Pittsburgh? me too!!

No we did not get a request for more information.

I am following everything online USCIS web and it says 5 months is typical. No red flags at all. Neither never been married and according to our lawyer we are assured we will be approved. What do you mean is the lawyer telling us something we dont know?

GOOD LUCK everyone!

And jealous your spending xmas!
