Whyyy is it that many of my family freinds are applying for their fiance and are getting their Noa2s veryy fast while If you are applying for your spouse (like me) is Taking much longer? They are also at California service center. Two of them which had their visa in hand in four months! So the wholeee process from Noa1 to interview was four months. Another 2 I know who applied for spouse got their visa in 8 months! Noa1 till interview 8 months!! The embassy is the same for all of my examples too! And none of them had any problems like divorce issues and things of that kind. So what is the main reason for this difference between fiance and spouse???

Because with the fiance visa you are subject to AOS which is further checks.

With spousal visa you get benefits such as working etc so they are more stringent

its not a difference between the 2 visa types... it is different from person to person even when applying for the same visa. i have seen approvals for a K-1 in 4-5 months but ive also seen it take 9-10 month. i have a couple of friends on here right now who are still waiting for NOA2 after 170 days.

you should also read this as it shows that IR-1/CR-1 can be approved super quick...
