hello there my wife she s the us citizen and im lebanese, we got married on june 23 in cyprus larnaca a civil marriage

my question i have to register for my marriage here in lebanon?

i have a marriage certificate with me, and she have one with the uscis so wht should i do?

i have to record over here in lebanon? but the civil marriage is not legal in lebanon there s is no civil marriage thanks

As your marriage is legal in Cyprus, you are fine for US immigration purposes.

If you wish to be legally married in Lebanon for personal reasons or legal reasons in that country, you will need to check for local laws.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

you can register your marriage in Lebanon, but the divorce will be based on the Cyprus laws :P

they may ask you about the reason behind it, why you don't want to register your marriage in lebanon?

cause im going there and i dont need it here

but if that makes probleme im gna register it,, i took my number from lebanese embassy in cyprus then re7et 3al kherjiye el lebneniye and they gave me number .

all i need to do now just go where im from and register there

but what about the passport its important to change my status from single to married for the interview?

hmm i will not change my passport for sure , i'm not an expert here , but if i was you i will defiantly register my marriage and all my children in Lebanon
