They are ok...I just noticed that if the CO is a Filipino they tend to ask more questions while the american CO just have 2 or 3 questions...

I wonder why is that? maybe they giving the CO information before hand to better access the Applicant? I would imagine they give slip or Paper with their accessment of Applicant? Thanks!!

One thing I can tell you, if you are prepared, the CO is also well prepared, seems that they already review your paper even before you stand before them for interview...but nothing to be nervous about if the relationship is genuine and you got all the necessary paper work, you will be fine. :)

Yup...the Filipino pre-screeners usually ask more questions than the consular officers. They will try to trip you up by asking the same question in a different way. Or, they will ask a question that has the wrong information in it. The pre-screeners can have more attitude too. Plan on being asked most of the same questions by the CO's that the pre-screeners asked.

The pre-screeners are all Filipinos, and the consular officers are all Americans. Chinook's CO was a 'Kana in her 40's who was fairly pleasant. I don't know if she's still there or not.

Yes I was Aware that they review your File before you come to them. I am also sure they get accessment from Pre-Screener also! We are prepared and Genuinely in Love! I can remember one Vjer saying that he saw his file on Cos Desk!

Tahoma why do you think the Pre-screeners are all Pinoy/ Pinays?

Yes, your physical case file will be sitting on the CO's desk during the interview.

I know you were asking Tahoma but I think most pre-screeners at consulates are hired locally and therefore will usually reflect the population of the country the consulate is located.

I agree with you, beejay.

Being Filipinos, the pre-screeners can speak Tagalog with the applicants at the pre-screening if necessary. I'm guessing the pre-screeners are also the ones who serve as translators for those applicants who prefer to speak Tagalog at their interview with the CO.

During our visa journey, Chinook and I spoke by phone to two different Filipinos who identified themselves as "caseworkers" at the Embassy. One of them identified himself as the caseworker for our case. I'm not sure if a caseworker is the same thing as a pre-screener.

IMHO, I think the CO is fair enough. I was really nervous before my interview, in fact, wasn't able to sleep well 2 nights before my interview. I know my documents were organized, complete, and relationship is genuine. But still I was nervous. The lady Filipino pre-screener didn't give me a hard time. She was very nice talking to me. And, I like the Consul who interviewed me and my kids. Aside from being so handsome & cute, he is very nice and made me feel at ease. It was like talking to a good friend. Overall experience was great ! :) My realization is as long you have all the requirements and your intention is true - nothing to fear or worry. Keep praying, God is good all times. :) Good luck ! :)

yeah right.. during my interview pre-screener is strict i can tell on the way she asked me questions and my docs. and while staring at the other applicant on the next window... my CO, she is a pretty, a brunette american woman, she is nice to me... all my answers to the pre-screener is written down to a blue paper then that paper was given to the CO who interviewed me and while the CO is asking question she is reading too the blue paper given by my pre-screener but i think the CO also already read my docs.coz before i had my interview she commented on my annulment... but all in all my interview went smooth...
