If you are fileing both the AOS and EAD together then ALL goes to the same chicago address... It is then initially processed for correctness and if necessary RFE are issued... then they are sent for further processing... AOS to local office, and EAD to missouri I think..

You will receive your NOA 1's within a couple of weeks and the biometrics appointment shortly afterward. then it you will just wait for interview.

I 130 & I129F (K3) and AOS info in timeline

kim&james,

Point of clarification: everything goes from the Chicago Lockbox to the NBC in Missouri for initial processing. The Chicago Lockbox is essentially an offsite mailroom where submissions are opened, checked for completeness, and put into files that are sent to Missouri. The Receipt Notice is generated in Chicago, and RFE's for obviously missing documents are sent, but case evaluation and RFE's that arise from the evaluation happens in Missouri.

Well, it looks like I have everything in the guide except I-693, which is optional, and I have copies of the medical, before her interview, included. So, I may just want to make a cover page outline and send everything to:

U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

P.O. Box 805887

Chicago, IL 60680-4120

...which is for employment based I-765's

...even though this is not an employment based I-765 application...

What is this stuff about Missouri? Are you saying my application is going to Chicago, Missouri, and Nebraska, which I believe is the local office, and I just happen to be in the middle of all of them? lol, no wonder why the forms cost so much! :D That is seriously funny! Talk about going the round about way of getting things done!

My wife just got back from her fingerprinting and interview in Des Moines (as suspected, it's about the same distance as Chicago or Missouri but not quite as far as Nebraska) and she arrived home to find a Request for Evidence for our I-485 in the mail. It lists just about everything you need to submit for evidence for the form with NO white sheet, with checked boxes, like before. Just pink sheets. It does have an astrix next to "You must include documentation demonstrating that you own the real estate, a recent appraisal by a licensed appraiser, and evidence of the amount of any and all loans by a mortgage, trust deed, or other lien on the home."

I know I had submitted my "county tax bill" for my home, which states the value of the property and the home along with the taxes paid on it. It should say how long I've owned the home as well, I do believe. I don't see that my cover letter/table of contents lists my mortgage statement but I thought I had included it too because I used it to calculate the value of the home... I know I did submit it on the other two Affidavits of Support sent in before she got here. Looks like I'm filing it 4 times, now. :(
