Hello VJ'ers,

Got some queries for my friend. She wanted to know if which one is better and faster to file, CR1 or spousal visa? what are the requirements? thanks. your response will be greatly appreciated. I just dont have any clue about it coz i came here on K1 visa.

CR-1 is a spousal. Read the comparison chart. It explains everything.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Thanks a lot it really helps my friend, i already told her. But she's asking me if on CR-1 do u get the 10 years GC right away or still 2 years first then 10 years after? how about on K3? it doesnt say anything about it on the link. Thanks

CR-1 is for people married less than 2 years so you get a 2 year green card.

IR-1 is for people married more than 2 years and you get a 10 year green card.

K-3 does not get a green card on entry you have to apply for it once in the USA and pay extra money.
