How many NBI Clearances Do We Need For the Entire Visa Process?

My fiancee has 2 NBI Clearances, but I've read a post on here awhile back stating that 4 NBI clearances will be needed for the entire visa process? Is this true? I'm getting an earful from my fiancee when I told her that because she JUST got her NBI clearances a few days ago and she hates going to the NBI office.

Jan 13, 2012 - AOS paid (Only appeared as PAID on 1.17.2012)

Jan 14, 2012 - DS-3032 accepted

Jan 17, 2012 - IV invoice received & paid

Jan 22, 2012 - Mailed AOS & IV packages to NVC

Jan 30, 2012 - RFE/Checklist for I-864

Feb 01, 2012 - Mailed the IRS tax transcripts to NVC

Feb 03, 2012 - Case complete!!!

I only got one and it was okay for the whole process...

NBI clearances have 2 parts, the upper one is detachable and is the one you will give to the embassy. The lower portion is your personal copy that you can show the people at CFO, if they ask to look at it.

I only gave one NBI clearance with travel abroad purposes @ NVC and I was not asked for another one on my interview @ USEM as long as the clearance is still valid. Good luck.

I wish they told me that when I applied! I'm going to have to go back there to get more copies. I hope I don't have to fall in (a VERY LONG) line again. o_O

04/23/12 - NVC received both cases (18 days/12 business days from NOA-2)

05/07/12 - Case numbers and IIN's (14 days/10 business days since NVC received)

05/07/12 - Sent out DS-3032 by email; auto-response received

05/08/12 - AOS fee invoiced, paid - "IN PROCESS"

05/09/12 - AOS fee shows as "PAID"

05/10/12 - Spouse's DS-3032 accepted; minor child's rejected = had petitioner call NVC = received verbal acceptance from operator

You only need one NBI for the NVC. My wife didn't need it for the CFO or for our petition but she did get another one just in case for her interview so if you only get one you will be fine. Also make sure the NBI says "For Travel to US" and not just for travel abroad!! Some people have had trouble with that at their interview!

3/6/2011: received NOA1 for I-130

3/16/2011: received NOA1 for I-129f

7/18/2011: NVC received and case number assigned

7/20/2011: NVC Administratively closes I-129f

7/30/2011: emailed DS-3032

8/24/2011: FINALLY received AOS Fee and PAID also sent DS-3032 for the third time (PAID on 8/25)

8/26/2011: Received DS-3032 Acceptance email

9/01/2011: Received IV fee and paid (PAID on 9/02)

9/07/2011: Delivered I-864 and DS-230 to NVC (mailed on 9/06/2011)
