hello VJers family!!! I just have a little concern about my BC.. we still don't have the NOA2 yet but i just wanna be sure if everything's ok before interview day comes.. My gender on BC is MALE when it is supposed to be FEMALE.. i was able to go to Australia without any problem using this BC, i just used an Affidavit of DISCREPANCY and gave me the visa... i'm just a little bit worried this time because it is USEM.. (it will take a year to correct this discrepancy) Anyone here who had the same experience? Can i still provide an Affidavit of Discrepancy during my interview? Any advice will be much appreciated! Thanks a lot!

hi....i also had a problem like that instead of female on my bc its male, what me and my fiance did is that before we sent our application we also processed my bc legally by using a lawyer so that it will be changed. We've been through evidence gathering, court hearing and posted it to the newspaper in 3 days. We filed it November 2010, we appeared to the court Febuary 2011(the judge just want to see u in person) then I recieved my new BC September 2011.I think u should consult a lawyer about this matter. They require our BC in the whole process, specially when u get married in the US.

If you are have a problem spending money on lawyers, go to PAO office and get a referral to the municipality where you're born the get a certification that you are indigenous and can't afford to pay a lawyer.
