Hello, how long does it usually take to get the fiance visa? Can someone please give me an average timeline?

I want to file for the dcf in israel but, do not know if i am allowed to do so. I am currently not living in Israel although I was there this summer for 2 months.

How will I be qualified for a dcf

My fiance lives in israel and i am a us citizen.

also. Is it recommended that i marry over in israel and come back to the us or apply for a fiance visa here in the us?

I have heard people say it takes less time to apply for the fiance visa?

Please reply with advice those with experience.

Thank you.

Kind regards.

You must be a legal resident in Israel for 6 months before you can file for DCF. DCF is not available for K1, only a spouse visa petition.

Thank you for the response. I know this is a personal question however; does it make sense to try to get the fiance visa for my fiance who lives in Israel

rather traveling there to get married?

Are the fiance visas easy to get and is it true it takes about 5 months for everything so he can get his green card?

Do you suggest I talk to a lawyer or service which can help me or do it alone?

I am so new to this and a bit confused.

Hope to feel better about it soon.

Kind Regards.

The 5 months is a reasonable estimate of time after US entry to obtain the green card. That would be after obtaining the K1 visa and marrying in the US. The K1 process can take 6 moths or more.

VJ is an excellent do it yourself site. Do some reading in the guides and forums. There are a lot of members here who are traveling / have traveled the same road.

A service or attorney will complete the forms with information that you supply. It won't be any faster assuming that there are no mistakes.

With a simple, straight forward case / set of circumstances one ought to be able to do it without paying someone. If you don't feel comfortable or confident then a service/attorney may be a worthwhile expense.

Best of luck
