I need help!! regarding employment status for petitioner.

Hello VJ members,

I need some advice regarding my fiance's employment status. He found a new job and been working for a month now. Now my question is, Is it really a requirement for a petitioner to work as a REGULAR FULL-TIME employee inorder to meet the requirements for the affidavit of support? He is working Fulltime now but he is not Regular, Is that a problem? I am just scared that it would be the reason to get denied.

Please help me!!

hmmmm, they like to know that the persons work is continous so they can continue to support the beneficiary, i personally would just get a co sponsor when it comes to the AOS stage

Well im not super sure , but im working on my affidavit as we speak ,my interview is next week in DR and i only made 17k last yr, and only last yr i made that but my past yrs ive made 20k 25k ,my attorney said i needed 18k + and now i needed a co sponsor , so maybe that can give you an idea...

Is he a permanent employee or temporary? Is he on a contract or is this position expected to continue?

Right now, he is on a 6 month contract and there is a chance that he can work permanently. But he earns 65k a month. I am getting stress thinking about this.
