Not really - that would just show someone allowed themselves to be a co-sponsor - for reasons that have nothing to do with a bonifide marriage.

Mixing of finances, joint ownership, trips/life together (evidence), affidavits from people that know of the relationship, that is your best evidence.

(having children together is another one)

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

CAN THE FACT THAT A CLOSE RELAITIVE AGREES TO BE A COSPONSOR BE USED AS PROOF AS A BONIFIDE MARRIAGE?

No. I suspect lots of people who intend to commit marriage fraud can get a family member to help them by filing as a joint sponsor. The joint sponsorship may speak of the relationship between the joint sponsor and the petitioner or beneficiary, but not between the petitioner or beneficiary.

For example: USC wants to marry my sister from Vietnam. I agree to be the joint sponsor for my sister because I want to help her immigrate to the US now. What does that show about the relationship between my sister and the USC? Nothing.

Another example: USC is my brother who wants to marry a girl from Vietnam. I agree to be the joint sponsor for my brother; to help him out. What does my joint sponsorship say about their marriage? Nothing.

P.S. Please don't shout. You do not need to use all CAPS. It is hard to read.

i was refering to an affidavit from someone who feels are marriage is indeed bonifide so strongly they are willing to take on such legal obligations as to be a co sponsor. maybe that explanation will make more sense?

A person who makes a affidavit is called an affiant. An affiant attests the statement he/she signed is true. That person is not a sponsor.

It may seem picky to point out that this person is not a sponsor, but the misuse of an immigration term like "sponsor" can create lots of confusion.

Back to your issue.

A close relative can make an affidavit about your relationship. However, the statement will be taken with a huge grain of salt as it is a close relative and not an unrelated party. Close relatives are known to lie for their relatives when it comes to immigration.
