Hello again...another question for today. As far as the medical exam is concerned, does my husband have to wait until interview is scheduled until he has his medical exam done? Per the operator at NVC, our case was complete today. Can I download the forms off-line for the medical exam and he can get it done now, before interview scheduled? Thank you for any and all responses.

Hello, my husband just went through this process about two weeks ago. WAIT,,, till you get your interview appointment then go a week before the interview. That way the date is very current. The forms are at the clinic. The ones online are not the ones they actually use in V Island. My husbands clinic visit was in two sessions. The first day was x rays and papers. The next was the actual physical/shots and then he got the sealed envelope to give at his interview. Any questions email me I'll tell you what I know. Happy Visa!

Hi,

I would agree with Lagoslove about waiting to get an interview date before going for medicals.

I would however disagree when it comes to timing. There are instances where the lab results come back reactive for whatever reasons and further tests have to be performed. These tests will add extra days or even weeks by which time Чuя interview date would have been in view. The embassy NEVER interivews anyone without medicals. So, once u get the interview date schedule ur medicals atleast 1month in advance afterall the medicals are valid for 1yr. 1 week before an interview is just too risky.Goodluck.

why would my husband need his police certificate for the medical? We have already sent his police certificate to the NVC as mandatory document for his DS-230. Maybe is different for K-1 than CR1 which is what we are doing.

I agree with Olami you can download the papers and take them to the doctor however just like lagoslove said the papers will be at the clinic meaning you must show the papers you print off in order to show them you are heading towards and interview but since this is Naija they will make you get papers from them...go figure Na Naija be dis o!

Also you do not and I repeat DO NO need police chertificate or interview letter to get medical done for either the K-1 and CR1/IR1

So my advise to you would be to wait until the interview date is given to you because you will have plenty of time between notification of the interview and the actual interview to get medical and police stuff taken care of you

Congrats on Case Complete and good luck the rest of the way
