Will we be notified when our petition is at NVC, and when it is forwarded on to the consulate? We were wondering if the USCIS website is where we look for that. Thanks for all your help!!!! :thumbs:

Don't believe NVC sends anything to Petitioner. I would recommend calling them and checking your case number. They can tell you over the automated line if and when your petition was received and if sent out., but you wouldn't get a physical notification from them.

You will get a letter from the NVC indicating that they received your petition package from the USCIS. They only way to know for sure that your package has in fact been sent on to your foreign consulate is to call the NVC. Some petitions are selected for "additional processing" which could delay your case being sent on for several weeks.
