Approved but no Green Card

My wife and I had our interview in Cleveland on August 26th 2011 and the interviewer said my wife was approved. He said he was waiting for some of our papers to arrive that the Green Card would be delayed a few extra days not to worry. It's been quite a while with no word from them. My wife called a week ago ago and they said Cleveland is backed up to call back in a week if we didn't receive it. My wife has a work/travel card and State Id so it's not really holding her back but my question is should I ask for an info pass and take off work or just wait and see is the card shows up?

i would just wait the week and recall them, no point going through the hassle of an infopass, especially if she doesn't need the gc right now, just what i would do.
