Hi Guys-

Well, at least I know USCIS is working on our case; we got an RFE today. I cant imagine what it could be because I MADE SURE I front loaded the file and orginized it very well.

So my question is I want to know if there is a way of finding out what the RFE is about by calling, instead of waiting for the official letter to come. I just want to get what ever they are asking ASAP. I called today, after recieving the text and they told me that I had to wait 15 days after date of notice before they could release that information over the phone. But if there is a way of getting the info over the phone...could someone please let me know?

Also, does anyone know the statistics of approval after requesting an RFE and the additional time it adds to the process?

Thanks a lot,

Jackie

sorry to hear that u got RFE but you will have to wait for the hard copy to know wat they are requesting. As far as the additional time goes it varies. I seen appeovals from couple of days to couple of months. There is just no way to know when they will approve it. I got RFE also and send it back to VSC. They received it on sep 16 and still no approval. According to the letter they send you it says 14 days to 60 days for approval... Good luck.

Well,

At least you know an adjudicator has actually touched your file. You'll probably find it was a simple error - either you didn't sign a form or forgot to include a divorce decree (if applicible). It's usually something minor and typically the approval is fast in coming after you send back whatever they requested.

Best of luck!
