We had our interview Sept 22 and although we think we were approved (they kept all paperwork and passport) and said we didn't need to submit any additional paperwork. They would contact us in a few weeks. We have still not gotten any notice or confirmation of Visa processing to delivery. If anyone in Manila is still in Administrative Processing and suffering like us with no explanation of why or is past this final snag could you please replay with your interview date and shipped date if it has happened yet

Here is ours

We're on AP. My fiance's interview was Sept 14th, and at the end, the CO told him everything was good, but that she needed to check on a document, but to wait for the Visa in the mail. Being nervous, my fiance didn't ask what was needed. He was NOT given any white paper.

He told me he was approved, but they needed to check on something. Knowing that this isn't how it is usually done, I asked him if he got a white slip of paper because it sounds like we are in AP. He insisted that he thought he was approved.

I knew this wasn't quite right, so I e-mailed the embassy and sure enough, the embassy is requesting a birth certificate for my fiance's daughter. They were not requesting he submit it, but they were ordering it themselves. They insist they told him this and that he got the 221g form. My fiance insists they said no such thing and did not receive any other paperwork (the 221g form). I tend to believe him, because he HAD his daughter's birth certificate with him, the lady at the first window took it, but gave it back, and the CO never asked for it again. Had they told him what they needed, he would have reminded them that he had it with him.

I e-mailed the embassy again last week to get an update, and they said it can take anywhere from 3-4 weeks to get the documents. They would then make a decision once they received it. Very frustrating that we have to wait another month (or more) for something he had with him. Even more frustrating that there is no set timeline and we really have no idea how long we will have to wait. I will e-mail the embassy next week for another update if we don't hear anything.

Thanks for the info peeps. I did call after 1 week and they said wait and would not say what it was waiting for. I emailed again this week (week2) and no reply yet. I will call them or email every week until I get confirmation of shipment. I only started this thread because I see a few other people like jameugiekaxavilon have had the same result but they have been delayed longer than me and was trying to get a reference for this next timeline of waiting.

it was a lady interviewer and we were both there for the interview. I listened for the word approved but never heard it. She said your ok but we need to fix something on our end. I took that for approved. Our AP paper had no additional requirements on it they were all crossed out. Just the line at the bottom that said wait to be contacted and try not to pull all your hair out while waiting.

We went through the 221g torture too a few months back, lucky for us it only took a few weeks, we called DOS, but they never gave any details, all cases are different so the time it takes always varies, they didnt ask for additional docs, they only checked wait for them to contact us, they kept Nida's passport also. The dates are in our timeline, you can check it out, I think you will be ok in a few weeks like we were, good luck!

I remember during my interview the CO told me that "Your visa is okay and you can get back to your seat and wait for your name to be called for your visa assistance". But then when I was called in the releasing window the person incharge told me that my visa will be put on hold because they will have to do additional processing and she gave me a white paper (I believe the 221g form). No additional documents needed they only mark the box "Wait until you will hear from us". And so until now I am still waiting for them to have a decision.

I'm not from the phils but its generally good when they keep the passport. They often need it to attach the visa inside. Good luck to all in AP in the phils. You will get it done. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

This is why I started this post. Good news for us if we have MikelanNida case. More painful if we are stuck in AP hell for 3 months like jameugiekaxavilon. I will be praying for you jameugiekaxavilon and hoping I see it in the next few weeks.

May 29, 09, had attorney send I-129F to USCIS

Jan 6, 10 I email consulate re: what do we do next, since K1 expires Jan 10, 10.

Jan 13, 10 Consulate replies--They have received all requested documents and the case is pending a CO review

Since the case is pending due to treatment of tb, the case is still active until treat-

ment is complete provided we contact the consulate every 6 months and notify

them she is under treatment to keep the file in open status.

Thank you so much momoaz. I hope and pray that this AP thing we are facing right now will be done so that they will issue our visa. Waiting is really a stress. Making my hair turn to gray, giving me wrinkles, making me old fast..

Same thing for us as original post here. I presented myself with my fiancee at the interview on September 20th 2011. One officer swor us in and said "everything looks in order"...then they haneded us the white 221 form just checked "wait"...no docs checked.

Faxed, mailed, email and called a week ago. They dont give any relevant information when we called. They not yet respond to any of the emails or fax...

Its oct 13...still waiting...its very difficult to wait.

I have had really good response from e-mailing the embassy. I e-mail before I go to bed, and usually have a response the next morning. Granted, the responses never say much, but at least they are responding to me. My response this morning said: "we are in receipt of the requested verification from the Philippine civil registry. The case has been referred to a consular officer for review. Once the review is completed we will notify the applicant". (again, we were waiting on the birth certificate for his daughter, who is a K2 to follow).

Not much info, but at least I know they now have the document they have been waiting on. Who knows though how long the "review" from the consular will take. It's been 4 weeks now since my fiance's interview (Sept 14th). UGH! So very frustrating. The e-mail address I use is: IVManilaReplies@state.gov. You need to make sure the subject line is the beneficiary's last name, first name, MNL number, and type of Visa (K1 for us).

Good luck to all of us in AP. Please post when ever you get information/updates. It sadly enough helps with my obsession over my own case. :)

I waited 2 weeks and then emailed. 24 hours later a reply. We can not discuss the Consul's processes. If your a US citizen go back to work and try not to think about it. If your a Philippine citizen please go home and go slowly crazy. We will reply when we reply. So we are waiting. Since any additional requests for anything usually takes 30 days I would suggest you expect 30-40 for the notification and then another 10-15 for printing and mailing. I feel your pain. I made the original post :)
