I know there are topics on this, but I keep seeing different answers.

Should I send originals or copies to Ice of:

1.) My paystubs

2.) NOA1 and 2

3.) receipts for money transfers and for our apartment bills

And should Ice give the originals or copies of:

1.) His police certificate

2.) Birth certificate

And stuff like that. Like, we will get that stuff back or get to keep it, right?

And this is just stuff we bring to the interview. I know it's all copies for packet 3. ;D

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

Most of the stuff from the petitioner but not everything is copies. Everything from the beneficiary is the original unless something was lost.

For you answer for your first questions:

1. Make copies of your last 6 months pay stubs and either email or snail mail it.

2. Send just a copy of the NOA2 to Ice by email or snail mail.

3. The receipts I think I would send copies from when Ice was in the US, if they are receipts from when he was in Thailand then bring the originals. I am curious what other people think on this.

Pretty much for the I-134 and supporting documents send the originals. Send an original your employment letter to Ice to bring to the interview plus give him a copy if the original gets lost. As for your last 3 years tax returns I suggest getting IRS tax transcripts from the IRS and sending the originals but making copies for you and for Ice. I think the embassy kept my originals of my tax transcripts.

Your other set of questions.

1. Bring the original police report, just make sure he has another copy if it is lost and they should return it.

2. Bring his original birth certificate and make a copy of it as well. He should get the original back otherwise he will have to ask for that back.

Hopefully that answered your questions. I am curious if other people have any different thoughts on this. Good luck.
