Hello Fellow VJers!

I have a question for those who are done with embassy interview.

During the embassy interview is it required to submit ORIGINAL W2s, Form 1040s and tax return transcripts? or submitting photocopies of them is acceptable? i sent to fiancee all originals (2008 - 2010) but would be good if we can keep the originals for future AOS requirements (assuming a k1 visa is granted).

Anybody who can help, pls. do. We would really appreciate them. Thanks so much!

No, you only have to submit photocopies of your most recent ITR & W2's. The documents that your fiancee will have to submit original include: DS-156 & DS-157 (2 copies each), DS-156K (1 copy), Passport, NSO Birth Certificate, NSO CENOMAR or Marriage Certificate, NBI Clearance, and the I-134 Affidavit of Support. Of course, she'll also have to bring photos and letters/cards, as well as other proof of an ongoing relationship.

original w-2's and 1040 are on file with the IRS... all you have is a photocopy of the return anyway

YMMV
