I just got another RFE. Our marriage certificate (nikkah nama) was in english to start off with. It has the original registrar stamp on it and everything. I called NVC and they said its because it was in english and they need the "original" in urdu. The original IS in ENGLISH! The first operator I talked to said reply to the checklist letter saying thats all you have and see if they accept it. I called again to see if someone else would give me a different answer and the other operator said she'll have their supervisor look at it and it would take "10-15 business days"

Im very confused and not sure of what to do, NVC is really pushing me towards the edge.

HELP! has anyone had the same situation? What should I do? :help:

You need to provide them urdu Nikah nama ( Marriage certificate) as orginal is always in urdu do check on NVC website, it clearly says you must have to provide Orginal Urdu Nikah nama, as english is translated copy

03-22-2011 SIF

03-23-2011 Case Completed at NVC

06-04-2011 NVC Left

Consulate Received

05-26-2011 Interview Date

Visa issued on 28th feb.

Visa In hand 1st march 2012

POE: 16.03.12 Seattle.

Green Card Arrived : 5/9/2012

I agree to that, but my nika nama is in english we never had ours in urdu...Should I send NVC a letter explaining this is all I have?

I don't know how this is possible, as registrar office only keeps Urdu forms in their records, they don’t keep English forms. a
