Hi all,

So, situation here is that when I lived in The Netherlands I was a Nanny, my employers told me they were filing the taxes and taking care of everything. They're American citizens so I thought okay cool. Well, with going through this process I had them email me the tax information from 09 and 10. When they sent me the stuff she wrote on there that these are payroll taxes, NOT income tax. That they never filed those. What the heck am I supposed to do now?! I did pay social security to the US both years, which is what I was required to do, and they told me that I didn't owe the US any taxes because I had to pay the Dutch government. I don't know if I should be really, really worried about this? Or what? I've never gotten anything from the IRS about not filing and had no clue about this until yesterday. Is this going to throw a wrench into this K-1 process? Any suggestions/advice would be awesome! Thank you in advance.

You're still required to file taxes in the US, even if you don't pay.

I've filed this way for the last 3 years... with the help of my accountant. Because he did all the 'work' (the $100 I spent with him was well worth it each year), I'm not quite sure how to go about it... but hopefully that's a starting point, and someone else can shed more light?
