hello guys! I had my interview september 19th, and everything went really great and pretty smooth until the agent asked me to bring a copy of my co-sponsor, the next day, I gave them the copy and the agent said that my application is pending further administrative processing and he asked for my number and told me that they will call me once they complete the application... I was wondering how long does it take? also, does that mean that they rejected my case and it was a very diplomatic way of rejection? I need really help, please . any idea? thanks a lot in advance.

My fiancée has been on the AP for the last 4 weeks. There is no time limit to conclude the AP. It could take from few days up to a year. There is a better chance of approval after the AP. It is not the way they reject the application. The CO has nothing to worry about rejecting your application at the time of the interview. Embassies were rejecting visa application right up front for very silly reasons too. They put you on AP because they have something to clarify before issuing the visa.

Good luck

hello,

Congratulations on your approval! I just wanted to let you know I called our immigration rep today and asked her about what administrative processing is. She said it was completely normal and it means they are finishing putting together your paperwork so they everything will be okay when you travel to the United States. The embassy changes rules very frequently so it is hard to predict their actions. Now waiting is all you have to do. Good luck!

thanks a lot fatma :) but, you know what? I read about some people got that kind of answer and I saw that some of em got stuck for 6 months and sometimes a year :((( even the idea of thinking of it is really scary!!!! my Hubby called the DOS and they told her that nothing happened with our application, and they are not going to send it back to USCIS !! I just want badly to know how long it takes in verage with the Tunisian embassy!!!
