VJ Friends, i am back again. sorry...

How SOON can you get a copy of your Appointment Letter after you scheduled for your interview via online? Do you get to print it as soon as you finished scheduling? or is it something that the embassy will snail mail/email to you few days/weeks after you scheduled online?

Please, hope you can answer my query coz i am trying to figure out when is the best time to have the interview (been staring at the calendar for a while now) and ensure that i have ample time to prepare (and give embassy more than enough time to send me whatever it is that they're supposed to send to all beneficiaries).

I am not really worried about the packet three (3) coz i know i can just print it out anytime i want. But im thinking about any other mail that i need to get from embassy prior to my interview (something that i need to present to the guard to get in). I just want to have everything ready before the BIG day.

Thanks so much!

Forgot to mention that we got all the necessary papers/documents for the interview. Just waiting for fiance's day off so he can mail me everything. Thanks!

My appointment letter arrived after I got home from my interview (and got approved).

They just need to see the printed appointment schedule (from online), your passport, proof of payment (not really because you can't schedule an appointment if you haven't paid in BPI yet), DS-156 (2 copies), DS-156K, DS-157 (2 copies) and the others (W2, Affidavit of Support, etc) that I can't remember now (I guess you already know those).

Have a nice breakfast on that day! I almost became hypoglycemic while waiting for it to be done. No food/drinks allowed inside. No electronics (cellphone, USB, etc). There will be a little kiosk inside with snacks. I'm just not sure what time they open.

Hi there! I already have my appointment letter. Just after you schedule online or through customer service you will automatically receive your appointment letter if you have provided them with your email address. Just in print it. Until now I still didn't receive any appointment letter from the embassy though snail mail. :)

Don't wait for the appointment letter from the embassy. I received mine a day after I had my interview last Thursday, Sept. 15. Make sure you have called up NVC for your case number. Go ahead and pay BPI, then schedule your interview either online or via the call center. If you scheduled it online, you can go ahead and print it afterward and you can also send a copy of it to your e-mail address. This is what you present to the guard on your interview day, together with your passport and DS forms.

Maybe someone else can say for sure or you can check USEM website but I think I remember passport is a required doc to bring to interview so dont see how st lukes can keep that. Or check the required docs for St Lukes maybe they get a "copy" of pasport. Jim.

RIGHT! You bring your original passport to St. Luke's, but you just leave a copy of the Biographic/Data Page to them.
