What have people's experiences been regarding the time between sending Packet 3 and receiving their interview letter? I sent the forms off back on August 24th and have still heard nothing (medical completed on August 17th).

It's also quite difficult to get through to the embassy at the moment. Call volume seems perpetually high.

Why oh why do people insist on trying to call the expensive embassy line when DOS have the same information about your case status and cost 2p a minute through Skype.

Do yourself a favour and call DOS for status updates on your case. Phone # 1-202-663-1225 press 1 for the main menu and then 0 to speak to an operator.

I sent my packet 3 twice so my timelines might not be great... but I sent it half completed around the 1st of august then fully completed (some duplicates) on the 11th. My medical was on the 10th but I required supporting evidence so I dont know when it was logged. It hadn't been logged as of the 30th of august.

I got an interview for the 26th of september. We found out from Dos on the 7th and the letter arrived on the 8th. It was processed on the 31st.

Hope that helps. We had a wedding date of the 29th of september and I paid the fee on the 30th so maybe that pushed it along. I had to change he wedding date anyway because the 26th would never have got the visa in time!

We sent in packet three on the 22nd of August with a delivery confirmation of the 23rd of August. Tuesday of this week marked week 3 for the embassy having our info - and still we hadn't heard anything. I had introduced myself to our congresswoman right after we got our NOA1, told her that we hoped our process would go smoothly, but if it didn't, we looked forward to working with her. We have kept in contact with each other since then. So, on Tuesday, I got a bit impatient, called her, and she emailed London on Wednesday. Magically, when I called DOS this morning, it was logged!!!!

So, now we are waiting for our medical to be logged. He went on Sept 6th, but needed some follow-up blood work. So, he will go back down on the 27th for the results and final 3 immunizations. Hopefully it won't be long after that.

Good luck!!
