got my case # from NVC...but they havent sent my file yet to embassy here in manila...they told my fiance we should wait for 20 working days before it reached US embassy here in manila...they got it Sept 10 so counting 20 working days, that would be by Oct 7...I am thinking what should be the next step? just to wait again? i've read posts that some VJ members would be paying visa fee in BPI then scheduling for interview and having their medical...can someone suggest me what is the next step to take?

You need to have your medical exam at least 1-2 weeks before your scheduled interview date. There is no appointment for medical exam. You can attend it since you have your case # already. In my case, I had my medical exam last week and I still haven't scheduled interview date yet. I plan to set it on Oct. 12th... Good luck!

For Clarification to the OP. Is it not true the Visa Fee be paid before a Medical? I think that was the question.

As long as they received case # from NVC beneficiary can proceed to St. Luke's for medical exam even if she hasn't paid the visa fee yet which is also my case.

you're going to pay in St. Luke's on the day of your medical exam. If your daughter is also a visa applicant then yes both of you can do the medical exam. Tips: don't go to St. Luke's on a Monday coz there will be high volume of costumers and if you do go there very early around 4-5am. And be ready for long queue of waiting for just a few minutes of transaction.

Hi,

My case was given NOA2 on 7th September, which told me my case was being forwarded to the listed consulate (the NVC, I presume). What are the contact details for receiving my case number from them? And if I have that, I should just go ahead and get the medical even though I haven't heard from the US Embassy yet?

You're correct. After NOA2, it will be forwarded to NVC so you need to contact NVC either by email or phone. Contact them after 15 days since NOA2. Ask them if they have your case number and if they have forwarded your case to the consulate in England.

In my country, we are allowed to get medical exam without getting packet 3 from US embassy as long as we have our case number from NVC. Inquire about it to your medical facility if that is also the case.

they didnt ask you an appointment letter?it says here one of the documents needed to bring on medical exam is appointment letter from NVC or an e-mail confirmation from them..

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3218.html,...so without appointment letter yet is ok then, you did your medical exam without paying visa fee yet,and showed copy of MNL# is acceptable also...mavs

 i had not paid visa fee when i did medical exam. documents i brought for medical exam are: scanned noa2, NVC email indicating case #, US Embassy Email confirming when they receive our case. they just took the NVC email and had me sign waiver that I took medical exam without interview date yet.

It's $330 for the medical over here, is it the same where you are? :)
