hello good day everyone,

I just want to ask you guys..

My fiance filed for K1 last June. and we received the notice of action 1 dated on June 7. he filed at csc. he filled the forms stating that I will be interviewed at the consulate here Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I'm working here as a nurse in national guard hospital. my last working day would be in October 1 here since I filed for end of contract in the hospital. My fiance thought that I could have the interview in 4 months, including staying for at least 3 more weeks here in Saudi because his friend got an early approval.

Now he wrote to CSC, requesting for case transfer Riyadh consulate going Manila Consulate. and he is going to send it via post office mail.is it enough? what are the things we could do?

will the case would take longer because of the transfer?

thanks you so much for the advice

You need to contact the embassy in Manila and ask if they will accept your case. The NVC simply sends the case out...it doesn't determine which embassy it can go to. Contact Manila and explain the situation. When you receive approval from Manila, hold on to your approval email. When you get your NOA2 and once your case arrives at the NVC, forward your approval letter from Manila to the NVC. They will then assign a new case number and they will send your case to Manila.

I just had to do the same thing for my fiance. He is in Syria and the Damascus embassy is not taking K1 cases. I had to contact a ton of other embassies in the area until I could find one that would take our case. Then I emailed the transfer approval to the NVC, they changed our case number from DAM (for Damascus) to AMM (for Amman) and forwarded our case directly to Jordan.

You still have plenty of time and will not have to really worry about this until you get your NOA2, which will be a while longer. And in the absolute WORST case scenario, your case will be sent to Saudi and you will have to send your approval email from Manila to Saudi, and Saudi will send it to the Philippines.

So no worries! Case transfers are possible, but you can't request it until after you get your NOA2. And don't be surprised if Manila tells you that they can't approve the transfer request until after your petition is approved....so you might have to wait until you have your NOA2 in hand!

Oh, and the case shouldn't take any longer...our interview in Jordan actually got scheduled *TOO quickly* and we had to have the date pushed back so my fiance could make travel plans! :D
