NVC Confusion

So i received an email stating that the NVC had all the documents that they need to complete the case but a few days later i received a RFE for a tax return that was missing or incomplete and for a police certificate. are these false RFE? or should i resend them the information?

Depending on the individual consulates the RFE for PCC will not stop the case from being completed and interview scheduled. So it is best talk to a operator and get confirmation.

For example - In Indian Mumbai Consulates allows the PCC to be submitted at Interview (actually at VFS before interview) but Indian Delhi consulate does not allow it and hence the PCC must be submitted at NVC for the case to be completed.

When we called about the police certificate all she told my husband was what the requirements are for the police certificate and that we should try and send them another one. ok so we did that on July 26, and we as of recently we still have not heard from them. when i call to check the status of our case it says that they received our correspondence and to wait 6-8 and the NVC will contact us.

You don't have timelines or signature details to check out your progress. If you have send the photos on 7/26, NVC should have processed that by now. Call again and find out.

Update: So yesterday i called the NVC to see if i could get some info on our case and the operator told me they were waiting for a police certificate to be sent and i told her that we sent it on july 26 and so she went and got her supervisor and they must have seen that it was there and she tells me something that i couldnt understand and tells me to have a good day. I decided to call back today and this time the operator tells me that they have the police certificate and to give them 10-15 to have it checked. now to play the waiting game again.

Yes - it should be done in about 5 days (it took that much for most of the RFE responses).
