It looks like anything is possible! It took 3 weeks after my Packet 4 for ANY interview dates to pop up. When they did, they were all over the board... Early January, late January, February... then BAM November dates showed up.

It took me about a week to get my Packet 4 after I sent my Packet 3. I wouldn't rule out a pre-Christmas interview... I mean, my interview is in 3 weeks! If you get your Packet 4 in 1-2 weeks, you could see a late Nov, early December date pop up (from someone else canceling, perhaps?)

Just check the CSC website for cancellations incessantly. Seriously. At home, at work, on your phone... wherever, whenever you can.

Goodluck !!

I hope so! Haha I will definitely be obsessive about checking for interviews if I get something later than I want!

Guys, the other day I called DOS to make sure I could sent packet 3 (never got it of course). Now the stuff was sent to the embassy back in August so I'm assuming it has to be by now I just wanted to be safe. The lady on the phone told me that she couldn't help me with that info though!! WHAT? Everywhere I've read on this website they say to call DOS to make sure my petition has been received.

Couple questions!

I am assembling my Interview Packet/Materials and I was wondering if it would be at all necessary/helpful to our case to provide my financial portfolio? I have assets and would hope that it could strengthen our case (even though my Fiance - the USC - exceeds the income requirement)

Also - what is/how can I retrieve the confirmation that I have registered for DHL/Loomis? I mistakenly did not print the page when I initially registered. On my appointment confirmation it has my Loomis Branch listed - is this confirmation?

Thanks in advance!

I never called DOS to confirm whether or not they received my petition (I just watched CEAC like a hawk!) But I'm, pretty sure they would be able to tell you if your petition has arrived at the Consulate.

They can - 100% - tell you whether or not Packet 3 has been sent out. I would call back and enquire again.

I would say you're in the safe zone to send you Packet 3 contents. Just make sure you have copies in case for some reason there's a hold up on your case (for what reason, I have no clue at this stage).

Hi Friends,

I am a Canadian moving to USA. We just got our case # from NVC & our filet is in transit to Consulate; I am ready with police records, vaccination record & packet 3 forms to be sent; We are just waiting for Montreal to receive our file from NVC then we can submit the relevant forms & look fwd to packet 4, scheduling interview & medicals; We wish to get our interview by Nov end or max by Dec first week.

Meanwhile I have to plan on what to ship, when to ship my things etc; I have been reading this forum to learn about how people have done it;

I have good experience with ABF-UPack. But basically we would like to avoid shipping big stuffs like furniture & would like to ship few boxes; Any of you in a similar situation? If yes, what are you planning to use for shipping? Please share your thoughts. Thanks

My experience with DOS wasn't great... it wasn't that they were rude or mean, just not very helpful.

1st call, 4 days after Xpresspost confirmed delivery of my Packet to Montreal and I asked whether or not my Packet 3 had been logged & whether or not Packet 4 had been sent:

"Yes - your Packet 3 is logged, but they haven't sent out Packet 4 - please call again in 2-3 days"

2nd call, 1 weeks since Xpresspost confirmed delivery

"No, we have not logged your Packet 3 - call again in 2-3 days"

3rd call, 10days since Xpresspost confirmed delivery

"Yes we have sent Packet 4. [YIPEE] Wait... No, no... we sent out Packet 3, 3 weeks ago. Sorry, I was reading III as IV [what]... No, we haven't received your packet 3 yet"

The next day I received Packet 4 e-mail.

I haven't called them again.

Is packet 4 sent as an email, or in the mail? Should I call DOS or just wait for an email? Seems like DOS isn't reliable with information!

Hi, the main post needs updating please. The forms need to reflect the new online process, and I just followed the link for the medical in Toronto, and the doctor is no longer accepting panel clients (as of October 1, 2013).

Thanks for this, although it is depressing to hear that the consulate is so slow with mail and documents.

As long as you provided an e-mail on the (I think 156? One of the forms you need to return for Packet 3 - its question #13) you should receive Packet 4 as an e-mail.

1. If you meet income requirements, provide 3 years of adequate tax transcripts, letter from your employer, and a few recent pay stubs you do not need anything else.

2. If you go back to the CSC page there is the ability to reprint it, I don't recall exactly what it is called but it will have a Reference ID under Applicant Details and a section called Loomis Information. That reference ID is what is put on your passport.

So when you go in to try and get a sooner date. Do you just go to the page that says "reschedule appointment", and then it says "the next available appointment....", can you just keep refreshing that page and it will update itself?? I don't want to click 'yes', and lose my spot! I really want a sooner date than February!!
