What about Cheap Tablet Recommendations?

Inspired on the thread started by fellow VJ member Anh map, I'd like to know if anybody has recently purchased any Tablet PCs? I'm looking into buying one for my dad, but I don't want to spend a lot of money. I've looked on eBay and there are lots of cheap ones ($80-$110). Obviously, I don't expect a cheap one to be as good as an iPad; but, which one could be the "best" among the cheap tablets? Has anybody here purchased a cheap tablet?

HP had the TouchPads at $99 and $149.00 last weekend but I missed the sale and now they're all gone

The tablet market is already starting to cool slightly. I think its a bit of a fad like netbooks.

Yeah. I'm not interested in getting one for myself AT ALL. But, dad wants one and I figured it would be a nice gift. Supposedly HP is going to restock but they don't know when or how many. We'll see, I think I'll wait for a bit.
