We have a pending I-129F application filed since early April 2011. It has been approximately 4 months since filing. The stats show that the first process takes approximately 5 months on the average. What happens as part of the 2nd NOA. Does that mean that the process has cleared the National Visa Processing Unit and is ready for scheduling the interview at the embassy? Does anyone have any pointers that will allow us to pay for and schedule the Interview as soon as we are notified about the 2nd NOA. I guess what I'm asking is if there is a way to schedule the interview while we are waiting for the paperwork to transfer between the USCIS and the Embassy in Manila. Thank you

The petition is not even at the NVC yet. You have to get the NOA2 first then they send it to the NVC then it goes to the embassy.

Have a look at the flow chart that shows the steps in the process. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

You need to have a case number first before you can schedule an interview. Make sure that your medical exam is scheduled 1 week before the USEM interview.
