My fiance has his interview in exactly one week!! But, I have a question.

On the website (http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/164203/cons-visa/iv_medical_letter.pdf) it states to bring your passport, a passport photo, medical questionnaire and your vaccination records, However, on the phone making the appointment the woman told my fiance to make sure to bring his UK police certificate. I didn't see that listed on the website. So, my question is, is there anything else that is not listed that you should bring to the medical with you???

Knightsbridge needs to update their website and London needs to redo that letter. They do confuse people.

The London website tells you about the police certificate. See "Important Notice" in red.

I think you've got it all now. That's all except the funds for paying them, unless he needs an explanation of any medical condition from his family doctor. (I pretty much explained that in the document I gave you ages ago.)

Yes...he needs to take his police certificate with him. They will make a copy and give the original back to him. Matthew had his medical a couple weeks ago and he said it went well. Which medical office is he going to?? I have great directions to the one on Bentinck Street if you need them :)

Wishin-n-hopin: That's the one he is going to as well, I'd love the directions :)

Matthew took the train from Glasgow and arrived in Euston (about 4 1/2 hour trip).

When you come out of Euston you will see lots of places to eat. Turn RIGHT and walk approx. 100-120 yards (you will see a row of bicycles for hire or, if the bicycles are gone, it will be a row of 20 - 25 parking spaces for the bicycles). Walk past the bicycles and you will see a sign for the underground. Go down into it and take the train to BAKER STREET.

Change trains at Baker Street and take the JUBILEE LINE - this will take you to BOND STREET (it's only 1 or 2 stops from the time you get on).

Get off the train and come out of the station and turn LEFT. Walk to the traffic lights and cross the street. As you walk up the street you will see lots of restaurants with tables and chairs outside. Keep walking until you see a church building on the RIGHT side.

Straight across from the church you will see a grey stone building with a golden placard that says BENTINCK MANSION. Ring the bell and they will let you in.

To get back home:

Retrace your steps to BOND STREET STATION. Take the JUBILEE LINE (platform 7) to PICADILLY. Get off and change trains. Get on the VICTORIA LINE - this will take you back to Euston. When you get off the train at Euston, the times and destinations of trains are right in front of you. Trains to Glasgow leave almost every hour.

Matthew said that the staff at the doctor's office were all very nice. His appointment wasn't until 3:10 PM, so he could take a later train in the morning and he was back home around 11 PM. It was a long, but enjoyable day. :-)

Hope this helps! :-)
