Hi fellow Vjers,

I have a question regarding how many Original copies of a birth Certificate my fiance needs to have for the whole process k-1 process. She provided one for the I-129, I see one is required for the interview process, I assume we should have an extra incase she misplaces one when she gets here, does that sound about right or am i missing one for another form that I have yet to get to in the process?

Yanjuan had extras, usually they will take a good quality color copy. I had her bring all documents, dl, marriage divorce, insurance, college degree etc with a translation. Original to interview just to see.

1 copy for the embassy interview, authenticated by NSO. I would suggest too that she request 1 more copy from NSO to bring here in the U.S.

November 11, 2010 – touched

March 23, 2011 - NOA2

March 31, 2011 – NVC received

April 4, 2011 – NVC sent case to Manila

April 13, 2011 – US Embassy Manila received

April 28-29, 2011 – Medical at SLMEC

May 6, 2011- my interview - approved

May 13, 2011 - visa received

May 16, 2011- CFO

May 17, 2011 - left for US, POE Detroit

Maybe 3 or 4 for the duration of a lifetime. I'm guessing it will be a major headache to get documents from the Philippines once you're here. Just a thought.....

Not major major, nor is it a headache to get documents from the PI once you're here. NSO will provide online Foreign Requests.
