Just wondering if anyone had recent experience getting the police certificate in Moscow and how long it took. It sounds like the changed things up a bit, now you have to put in your request in one place and then go to pick it up in another a month later?

In Moscow it is really bad. In Moscow they told us it will take 30 days to get Police Certificate. My wife originally from Yoshkar-Ola so she applied for police certificate there and got her certificate in 10 days. My wife friend from Sankt-Peterburg got hers in a week. Good luck

30 days is standard. The greasier the palm, the quicker it arrives.

30 days sounds typical. My wife will be in the area in early October and then again in late November if you need in-city help.

Thanks Baron, I appreciate the offer. He already put in the request, it just seemed odd to me that they now have you go pick it up from somewhere else. Sounds like another one of their steps to fight corruption - divide and conquer. No matter it makes things even more wildly inconvenient for the general public  Sadly the family friend who assisted us last time has retired.... looks like we'll have to wait out our 30 days like everyone else :-)
