As long as he has the appointment letter, he can go whenever. If he has the letter printed, he can go tomorrow. Just make sure he doesn't wait until the last minute because it takes about 2 weeks to get the results, which he needs to pick up the day before the interview.

i agree with bocachicabae, as long as he had the appointment letter, he can go to his medical. it is much better to have a medical exam so that if problem occurs, you still have ample time to solve it. just like mine my interview was cancelled because of the culture test.. the earlier the better,, :) :)

Nothing is going to expire. I'm sure people probably do procrastinate and wait until the week before the interview to go, but those same people probably run into issues with not having the results by the interview date. Not having the results for the interview delays things, so it's best to go sooner rather than later if you don't want to run into unecessary problems.

My fiancee went 10 days before the interview and got in in time but givent he nature of things in DR, I would go as soon as possible. FYI.. they asked my fiancee a bunch of questions about our relationship so he should be prepared. Not sure if this is a standard procedure but from my consulate experience you should always be extra prepared for everythign..

My fiance got his done 20 days before interview. Just have your husband print out that email with the interview date, needs 2x2 photos, his passport, his cedula, and money and he is all set (I think thats all). Any electronics he takes will be put in a locker and he will get the key for it.
