To All my Kababayans here who are already done with their embassy interview or those who know the right answer, please find time to reply to this.

In applying for NBI Clearance, under "purpose", what should i write? Travel Abroad or For Immigration? Is there any other "purpose" i should know about? I've read some and only got me more confused. Any update re NBI clearance processing? Do we still have to wait for over a month for the clearance' release? Were they now able to fix their "upgrading" problem?

Thanks a lot for those who will reply.

p.s. I'm a k1 filer living in qc.

  • 02.29.2012 - received text/email receipt notices
  • 03.22.2012 - transferred to CSC
  • 04.19.2012 - biometrics appointment
  • 05.02.2012 - EAD & AP approved
  • 10.19.2012 - AOS approved

  • 05.2000 - met in class - Orlando, FL
  • 05.2011 - K1 filed
  • 11.2011 - K1 visa received
  • 01.2012 - POE/Wedding

My Fiancee just put "' for Travel abroad '' .

-400 CITIZENSHIP TIMELINE

01-17-2015 = N-400 packet sent (to P.O. Box Dallas via USPS Priority Mail)
01-21-2015 = N-400 packet delivered
01/25/2015 = E confirmation / Text received

01/26/2015 = Check cashed .

02/02/2015 = NOA1 received (Priority Date 01/21/2015)
02/09/2015 = Biometrics Letter received .

02/18/2015 = Biometrics

02/20/2015 = In line for interview

04/10/2015 = Interview Letter received .

05/11/2015 =Interview .

05/11/2015 = Passed Interview
07/01/2015 = Oath letter received
07/24/2015 = Oath Cerememony

With the new system they have for NBI clearance you can obtain one with same day release at NBI taft. Write Travel abroad and specify US like we did because now there's an option to which country you will go. Most of us went there around 5am and finish at 3pm. Be patient because the line is never ending. When you get a hit they will release it after 10 so i advise you t bring an appointment letter for interview if you have one. They will consider this and release your clearance right away.
