Hi all, Im new to all this and really happy that i found this site, I filed for the I-130 in May as well , according to the usics website they received my petition on May 18th , I havent heard anything, mine is in the california service center, I know its a matter of waiting but geeez Im getting so impatient , I so want to be withmy husband. Im here in the states and my husband is in south africa..

I see alot of people referring to the NOA1 and NOA2 , can someone please tell me what this stands for

Also I want my husband to come visit me but Ive heard that once the petition is filed its hard to come over, I was told it just depends on the mood of the custom agent thats on duty.

Once the petition is approved everything I assume gets sent to south africa, do anyone know about how long it will take once the petition have been approved

Thanks

You can expect your NOA2 (Approval) sometime now to September. NOA1 is the acknowledgement that you already got.

Once it is approved, you will get an email and your foreign spouse also gets and email.
