Hi VJ,

I just want to ask anybody here who's petitioner are working under contract. Do they do calculation of the poverty level guidelines the way they handle the permanent work? Or they ask for more proof of financial capacity like bank savings, assets, and other else. Coz unlike permanent worker, if and when you are above the poverty guidelines, you are already ok not submitting bank savings and other assets. Just want to ask how it work over the interview with the CO in the USEM if and when they handle the case differently to those who do contract work. Thanks!

They base it on your annual income as stated on your income taxes....that's why you include those or tax transcripts.

They don't care how you obtain your income, just the total amount as reported to the IRS>
