Hi Everyone,

I would like to ask anyone who have experienced a good and reasonable travel agency in China and/or in the US. My fiancee who lives in Changsha and I want to go for a trip when I go to see her next month. Can you recommend a travel company that you really liked, reasonably priced and came through with all their promises without a hitch? She wanted to go to these places: xiang ge li la , li jiang, lu gou hu, mei li heng he and yun nan li jiang. She said that she can make the arrangements to go there but if there is a good tour that we can take that is a good price, then I might go through a tour company so we don't have to worry about anything and we can relax and just enjoy ourselves. Any other places that you went to, that you would say that we must see? Of course we know about Guilin already.

She wanted to see mountains and rivers, she said. I was thinking about taking her to Jiuzhaigou . I've been there myself and it is beautiful. She has not gone there so we may plan to go there too. I am looking for a tour to there.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I never been to those places so I couldnt tell you which one but I heard they are really pretty thought.. Yea I like Jiu Zhai Gou as well because I heard its really nice that they make a lot of TV shows from there. I been to Zhang jia jie which also really nice.

Becareful which agency you select because they tend to rip off foreigners.

Best bet is for her to arrange the trip through a travel company in China. I believe it was sichuan everbright travel in Chengdu that I used for my tour to Leshan and Emeishan. They are in the lobby of the Royal Western Palace hotel on Xiyu street.

I don't have the details, but you can PM me and I can get you in touch with a friend of mine who used to work for a travel agency in Chongqing and should have some ideas of good companies. She is living in Israel now, so she won't be the direct contact. My wife might also have some ideas, I can speak with her tonight. Just DO NOT use the people who advertise on the street, they are commission sharks and are not looking out for what you want, just your RMB.

My wife was the tour guide, it was nice traveling in China with her. It is cheaper to let her get hotels etc. get a local rate. China Version of SW airlines in nice and clean. Have fun. When we go back and not that her English is better it will be great.

Since my wife is from Guiyang we were fortunate enough to be a bus ride away from really beautiful areas. I might suggest

Huangguoshu Waterfall is located in Southwest of An Shun City in Guizhou Province. As the largest waterfall in China

Of course china is vast and has many beautiful areas the most important thing is your time together cherish wherever you go it is a lifetime of memories so sometimes it's not the destination that matters it's the journey

often if you know the cities you want to go to, it will be cheaper just to travel there on your own and then arrange day tours to the things you want to see.
