Just talked to my wife on her way home from the HCMC consulate. Picked up her passport w/visa, and the "DO NOT OPEN" envelope.

Our interview was 08/08/11, so as others have noted her pink slip told her to come back in 7 days to do this. When she left her interview we were very happy of course, but now that she has her visa in hand there was a detectable difference in our demeanor. I can't describe to you the joy in her voice, it was PURE elation and a wonderful sound.

Now, she's on her way to the travel agent to buy her ticket to Seattle.

Keep going VJers, even if you get RFEs or other hurdles along the way. One day, it will all be worth it.

Good luck to all of you, see you on the boards for Removal of conditions!

Congats on a Visa!

Did the CO ask your wife to submit the 10 yrs residency and relationship timeline at the interview?

i didn't submit when I filed the I-130, I really worried they may give a blue slip.

No, but if you read our consulate review, our interview was very thorough and we were asked to prove almost every answer. We were prepared for thhat so it worked out. I've seen reports where they have been asked for that, but I don't remember any that git pink. My memory tells me that they were blues, but older members might be able to answer more definitively on that. I do know we got pink and weren't asked for it. However, it is also not listed as a required document either.

If I was preparing again I might have it ready at the interview though, it costs nothing to have it with you besides a notary fee.
