I am a Medical Technologist in Australia and I was wondering where I should look for a job. From my understanding, America is on a shortage of Medical Technologists (Medical Scientists) so I am hoping that I can get a visa to move there and eventually a green card. I have tried searching for jobs on sites such as monster.com but it doesn't list if it grants visas or not so I am a little confused. Where is a good place to look?

Most likely places like Monster won't say anything about a work visa. You'd have to check with the hiring company directly to find out if they're willing to not only hire you, but also to see if they're willing to work with you on a work visa.

No, there is not. You will have to inquire directly with the companies you are interested in applying at to find out if they will consider an applicant that requires a visa sponsorship.

I see. I would also like to know if an option of paying the employer the costs of visa is also an option for me since I am getting mixed answers. Some are saying I can when others are saying I can't. I would like to know this for sure so I can offer to pay and get a little bit of an easier time trying to get a visa.

Well, first things first. The first thing you need to do is find work at company based in the US. Most hire people who live here in the US but every now and then they'll hire people from other countries. Once you're hired, the company will file an application for your visa, which means they pay the fee for it, now if you want to pay for it yourself, then you'll need to bring that up during your interview.

So remember, you need to have a job offer from a company that is willing to sponsor you.
